Happy Labor Day everyone.. I know you may still be in bed.. I am up early. I have to get ready for a wedding. But I had to share the Word of God with you this morning. There is more power in His word then in that coffee you seek energy from :) . Gods word is everlasting and will encourage you and renew your mind, heart and sight.
As I mentioned last week, I have finished reading the book of Isaiah and now I am reading the book of Jeremiah. As I read, I will be sharing scriptures with you ..but whatever God puts on my heart you shall surely read it here :)
"Do not say "I am a youth", for you shall go to all I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I AM with you to deliver you," says the Lord." Jeremiah 1:7-8
There a number of things you can take away with you from this one scripture. But let it be correct :)
God is simply saying you can be used no matter how old you are. You dont have to be older and mature, God can use anyone for His glory, we just have to be open to HIM. Matthew 28: 19-20 sees Jesus giving His disciples a great commission, which has been passed on to us.. You are never too young to tell me about Jesus, share the gospel, make disciples and teach people to obey His commandments.
I have a friend who got married a year and a half ago at the age of 21, I think, who was discipled from the age of 16 and is now a Pastor of a small congregation.
Do not get bogged down with "What do I say to someone, how do I approach a person". God already said that whatever He commands you, you shall speak. So He has already got your script.. just be receptive.
Do not be ashamed of the Gospel, it can STILL change. Do not fear.or be afraid, for God hasn't given you the spirit of fear.
